Mark 6 Feeding of the 5000

Sep 10, 2025    Aaron Chivington

In the sixth chapter of Mark, we see Jesus fully human seeking rest and solitude with his disciples. But the crowds won't let him go. Instead of being angry, Jesus has compassion because he recognizes them as sheep without a shepherd. Jesus is the Good Shepherd, and he cares for his sheep. Jesus gives us a model for all to follow in leadership and ministry. To avoid burnout, get rest and time with God. Be a good shepherd like Jesus and care for the sheep.
