This passage is one of the most challenging in all of scripture because it is not those on the outside working against God that are accused of having a hard heart, but it is the disciples, those closest to Jesus. It is a call to self-examine and invite the Holy Spirit to soften our hearts to what God wants to do with our lives.

Too many of us are living with a fatal heart condition that Jesus wants to fix.
