Samson is a tragic story of a man incredibly gifted by God to accomplish great things, but because of his sins, he fails to be all that he could be. Instead of relying on the spiritual strength of God, he relies on the physical strength that God gave him. The good news is that God never gave upon on Samson. In the end, Samson cries out to God, the source of his true strength, and the historical narrative concludes in a tragic victory. The lesson we learn from Samson is not to rely upon our abilities, but to lean on the strength of God.
