Blessed are the pure in heart

Jesus said, "Blessed are the pure in heart..." Ironically, we cannot make ourselves pure. Only the justifying grace of God can make us pure. This might appear to be a contradiction, as Jesus invites us to do something we cannot accomplish on our own. However, the goal of every Christian is to surrender our will to God and allow the Holy Spirit to purify our hearts.

Beware!!! We can develop a divided and impure heart even while doing good things.
