Ephesians 5 Marriage and Submission

Ephesians 5 gives us the keys to healthy relationships and marriages. The key word is "Submission." The word means to voluntarily place yourself under the authority of another person. When husbands submit to Jesus they are able to love their wives in a way that honors and blesses her.

Ephesians 5 is one of the most abused passages in scripture because it was taken out of context, an incorrect reading practice called proof-texting. It is crucial to read the whole passage and see the commands of God in context.
