Your Story Part 4, Suffering and Pain

In the Atheistic worldview, pain and suffering have no meaning because life itself has no meaning.

In the Christian worldview, pain and suffering are part of life after the exile from the Garden of Eden. Jesus himself endured suffering and pain along with us. The English word for excruciating is from the Latin meaning from the cross.

Jesus did not come to end all suffering and hurt, but to give meaning and purpose to it. Because Jesus lives, those who believe in him shall also live. Our hope is in the eternal and the promise of everlasting life in Heaven.

It is only when we have the Biblical view of the story that we can make any sense of suffering. It is because of Jesus we have real hope that we will get through whatever we are facing.
