Doubters and Disheartened Part 2

Salvation is by faith alone through grace. Paul addresses the lack of emotional and spiritual maturity that occurs within a community when we attempt to earn salvation. Salvation cannot be earned, and when we think it can, we miss the whole point of freedom from sin. When salvation is something earned the whole church becomes corrupt and drives people away disheartened and discouraged.
